The University of Alaska Fairbanks will honor the Class of 2023 during its 101st commencement
ceremony on Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m. at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks. On Saturday, UAF expects to confer approximately 1,088 degrees on 1,023 students.
Some students will receive more than one degree. The commencement ceremony includes
graduates from summer and fall 2022 and spring 2023.
Participation is required this year for Open Enrollment! Every benefit-eligible employee must submit a form this year - even if opting out
of coverage. Employees who do not fill out an Open Enrollment form by 5 p.m. on May 5 will automatically be enrolled into an employee only basic medical plan with basic dental and vision - even if they
have opted out in the past. The Open Enrollment form is electronically completed via NextGen and can be found
under section 6 of the Open Enrollment website.
UAF writers are invited to join a Month of Writing, with writing sessions every Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday in June and a supportive community of writers to keep you accountable.
This program is open to faculty, staff, graduate students and post-docs!
