The Alaska Blue Economy Center is soliciting proposals for applied mariculture research
funding. Projects must be conducted in Alaska by University of Alaska faculty and
staff who have partnered with mariculture industry stakeholders on applied research.
The maximum award is $200,000. The first review of submissions will take place for proposals submitted by 11:59 p.m. (Alaska) on Monday, May 22, 2023. Subsequent submissions will be reviewed quarterly on a rolling basis until the fund
has been fully awarded.

UAF Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is seeking volunteers to help with the 2023
Really Free Market. The event will be on Saturday, May 20 at the Lola Tilly parking
lot. Clean, safe, usable items will be dropped off from 8-10 a.m. The market will begin
at 10 a.m., with no selling, bartering or swapping. A volunteer sign-up sheet will
