This past week I participated in some of my favorite events at UAF, welcoming students
to the start of a new fall semester. All week, hundreds of new UAF students came onto
campus from across the state and around the world to start their educational journey.
Each one of them took a unique path to get to this starting line, and each one of
them will make the UAF experience their own. This year's incoming first-year students

Registration for beginner swim lessons at the Patty Pool opens Monday, Aug. 28, at
9 a.m. Sessions include ten thirty-minute lessons beginning on Sept. 16 and 17. Read more details about the swim class.
The Office of Student Success would like to remind advisors, instructors, and staff
the Nanook Navigator (Navigate Student) Mobile App is free for all active students

The University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Education has received an "A" grade from
the National Council on Teacher Quality for its program preparing future educators
