Web developers for the UA Office of Information Technology and UAF University Relations
will host web accessibility drop-in sessions via Zoom on the second Friday of each
month beginning Friday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m. Sessions are informal and will feature discussions
about common web accessibility issues and how to address them. Web developers can

Mental Health First Aid training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide
initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance
use problem or experiencing a crisis. The next training session is scheduled for Oct.
19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to any student, staff or faculty member
at UAF for a $35 fee. Register for the training online.
In late August, 12 students from OSU's TRIO Upward Bound program spent five days at
the field research station, part of the Institute of Arctic Biology at UAF. Students
participated firsthand with Toolik Field Station staff, scientists, artists and others
