Business Leader of the Year raffle tickets

Raffle tickets for the UAF Business Leader of the Year are now available to purchase online. The winner will receive two Alaska Airlines tickets to anywhere they fly. New deputy director joins Alaska Sea Grant

Alaska Sea Grant welcomes Brooke Carney as deputy director. Based out of the program's Anchorage office, this new position adds leadership capacity and expertise to expand diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and accessibility across the program. Learn more about Carney and her new position.

Responsible Conduct of Research training will be offered via Zoom on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. RCR is a required training for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers supported by National Science Foundation awards. Secret lives playing out all around us

While we were sleeping, they were out there. Two red foxes, a male and female, pawing into spring snow on a hillside. The foxes had found the entrance to a tunnel dug many years ago. It might have been the den in which one of them was born. Read more about the lives around us.


Food protection manager course

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will offer a certified food protection manager training on Monday, Jan. 29, with proctors for testing available in 14 communities. Read more info on the training and registration.


Department of Music ensembles concert

The UAF Department of Music presents the UAF Wind Ensemble, Jazz Combo and Guitar Ensemble under the direction of Jay Million, Leisl Wietgrefe and Nathan Arnold, respectively. The concert is Sunday, Nov. 19 from 4-6 p.m. in in the Davis Concert Hall and will also be streamed on the UAF music department YouTube channel.
