federal grant to explore whether seaweed are absorbing rare-earth elements near a

Short-term parking increase
Starting Jan. 1, 2024, UAF Parking Services is increasing the short-term parking rate
to $1.25/hour to reflect increased costs due to inflation and convenience fee charges.

Dec. 1 for a First Friday event in the lobby of the Akasofu Building. Scientists,
staff and students will show off their other talents in art, creative writing, flower

In this workshop on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to noon, participants will explore what generative AI can and cannot do when it comes to
the writing process, emphasizing the human skill of revision while incorporating use
of AI. This workshop will focus on research writing and is a collaboration between
the Center for Teaching and Learning and UAF Writing Center. This session will be
virtual on Zoom and in-person at the Center for Teaching and Learning in 131 Bunnell.

Inspiring Girls* Expeditions Alaska is accepting applications for a unique suite of
