Dear UAF students, faculty and staff,

Annual Title IX training is at hand, and I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of its importance. Along with the university’s nondiscrimination policy, it is fundamental to creating a culture of respect, diversity, inclusion and caring.

Unlike previous years, this year there is just one training in UA Blackboard for all employees and students, with a completion deadline of Oct. 31. I encourage you to complete this training as soon as possible. Training information and technical support is available under “UA Safe Title IX training.” While you’re there, I encourage you to review the many other training options and information available that can help us build a resilient Nanook Nation. You are vital to that effort.

If you have questions about the training or Title IX in general, please reach out to Margo Griffith, executive director and Title IX/ADA-504 coordinator, at uaf-tix@alaska.edu or 474-7300.

— Dan White, chancellor
