Dear faculty members,

Due to the Fairbanks North Star Borough's CDC COVID-19 Community Level now being at “Green,” we’re planning to have open guest seating at the Carlson Center for the 2022 commencement ceremonies. That means tickets will not be required. Seating for graduates’ guests will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Seating may still be limited due to safety precautions, so graduates have been asked to only invite the number of guests previously indicated on their RSVP form. Online streaming of the event will still be available and encouraged for guests not attending in person. The link will be provided on the commencement website closer to the event. 

We’re also planning to move the faculty back down on the floor and have you walk in with the stage party. 

Please take a moment to fill out the RSVP form and let us know which ceremony you would like to attend. You are encouraged to attend the ceremony affiliated with your school or college, but welcome to attend both. 

Regalia deadline is March 24

Buy caps, gowns and other regalia by March 24 to receive them in time for commencement. Faculty should order through the Bookstore's online form before Thursday, March 24, to avoid a $20 express shipping fee.
