Drug-free schools notification
Our goal, like that of many institutions, is to improve academic success and the quality of student life here on campus by providing programming aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyles, as well as reducing the harm associated with alcohol and drug abuse through awareness efforts.

Alcohol and drug policies, as well as behavioral expectations for students and employees, are online at www.uaf.edu/orca and in the UAF drug-free schools notification. Also included in this document is information regarding resources available for assistance with alcohol and other drug issues, disciplinary actions for violations of university policies, and criminal penalties associated with alcohol and other drug use. You can find a report of the progress made in the past two years on UAF's Drug Free Schools and Communities Act webpage.

In addition to our commitment to programming and intervention/response efforts, we also complete a Biennial Review. This review evaluates the programs we are offering, their effectiveness, and helps inform future goals and initiatives to help support a thriving and safe campus community.
