Dear Faculty Member,

UAF will celebrate its 102nd commencement with public events Friday and Saturday May 3-4, 2024. I am looking forward to seeing you there. There is no greater joy for students than to see the faculty who have shaped their careers be there in the audience to celebrate their achievements. Your presence means a lot to our students and their families.

This year’s main commencement ceremony starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the Carlson Center. It should last less than two hours and 30 minutes. Please RSVP if you’re planning to attend. Here are some details for joining the faculty procession:

• Please arrive at noon.

• Park in the back of the Carlson Center and walk around to the front.  

• Enter through the main doors on the first floor.

• Faculty will line-up in the Pioneer Room and will be grouped by college.

• Regalia is required.

In addition to our Saturday ceremony, two events on Friday, May 3, will celebrate doctoral-degree recipients and this year’s commencement honorees. Faculty are welcomed at both events:

11 a.m. at the Charles W. Davis Concert Hall
Reception to follow

Honoree Recognition Ceremony
5:30 p.m. at the Charles W. Davis Concert Hall
(Doors open at 5 p.m.)
Reception to follow
