I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. I hope you are able to spend time this week with friends and family. I know how much each of us gives in our professional lives, so this time is important to rejuvenate. There are three events coming up that I hope you are able to attend.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, I’ll host a safety forum in the Wood Center ballroom from 1-2 p.m. Please take time to learn a little about ongoing initiatives and to share your concerns. It is important that UAF is an environment that is safe for all.

Our Holiday Gathering is Monday, Dec. 4, from 4-6 p.m. We’ll have food and music, and I encourage everyone to bring nonperishable food items to donate to the UAF food pantry.

We’ll celebrate the official opening of the Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility on Friday, Dec. 8. This multiyear project is the result of the hard work of many people across the university and the state, and I look forward to honoring their commitment with you.
