As you settle into a new routine this spring, please remember to complete the Title IX: Sex and Gender Based Discrimination Prevention and AlcoholEdu trainings now. There are so many great opportunities at UAF. Making sure everyone is safe, healthy and respected benefits all of us, and lets us focus on doing the things we love.

Title IX training is required for all associate to Ph.D. degree and certificate students, while AlcoholEdu is required for all associate to Ph.D. degree and certificate students ages 24 and younger, and all students who live in university housing, regardless of age. The courses take about two hours (the refresher Title IX is about half an hour), and you can save your progress and come back the next day if you need to. The courses include optional surveys to help personalize your experience. All survey responses are anonymous. To get started, please visit https://www.alaska.edu/uaonline/.

To avoid technical issues, use any major web browser released within the last two years, and be sure the computer you use can play sound. If you’re on the Fairbanks campus and need access to a computer, review this
list of computer labs, otherwise contact your local campus to find public computers in your area.

You must complete both trainings by FRIDAY, MARCH 29, 2019, to ensure priority registration for the spring semester, otherwise a hold will be placed on your account until April 14, 2019. If you took the original or refresher training in fall 2018, you do not need to do it again this semester.

If you have past experiences with trauma related to sex and gender-based discrimination and would prefer not to take the Title IX training, please submit the opt-out request.
