Please join key staff and me on January 23 from 1-2 pm to learn about the renewal of our strategic planning campus wide, as well as some of the exciting initiatives that are taking shape to support our goals at UAF. In addition to the presenters, UAF’s vice chancellors and strategic planning chairs will be on hand to answer questions.

More than a year ago, UAF launched a strategic planning effort. We started with six goals and formed teams to shape these goals by answering three questions – where are we now, where do we want to be, and how do we get there? The six teams, led by faculty, produced reports that were published on the web for public comment. The team leads also presented them in last Spring’s chancellor’s forum on strategic planning. At that time, however, the UA system was in a discussion about whether there would be separate Universities or not and the strategic planning effort was suspended. The Board’s recent decision to stick with three accreditations provides the opportunity to get back to our planning.
