Inspiring Girls Expeditions of Alaska is seeking a UAF undergraduate for a summer
student coordinator position.
A Zoom Scholarship workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 1, from 4-5 p.m. Students can
get tips on writing essays and learn how to find and apply for scholarships.
Registration is open for the UAF Spring Career Fair, which will be on Thursday, March
31, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Wood Center Ballroom and mall area.
A research paper by Charlie Parr, a graduate student and former Geophysical Institute
research technician who now works at the International Arctic Research Center, received
an Editor's Choice Award from Water Resources Research, a journal of the American
Geophysical Union.

A Grad Fair for those eligible to graduate will take place Thursday, Feb. 17, from
noon -2 p.m. in the Wood Center ballroom. This is your chance to learn about in-person
commencement ceremonies scheduled to take place at the Carlson Center on Saturday,
April 30.

The UAF Community Mental Health Clinic is accepting new clients. Graduate-level counseling
students are accepting new clients for 50-minute Telehealth counseling sessions occurring
once per week from Jan. 10 to April 28.
Staff Council's University Advocacy Committee will host a Lunchbox Games competition
on Thursday, Feb. 3 from 1-2 p.m. Individuals or groups will compete for trivia glory
using questions from Trivial Pursuit with Alaska, University of Alaska, and UAF trivia
added in.
The Committee on the Status of Women will host Lisa Arrastia via live stream on Feb.
4 at noon for a presentation on "Love Pedagogy: Oral History Remix and Disrupting
Notions of Difference."
