Fall 2023 student employee job fair

Join us in the Wood Center Thursday, Sept. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. to connect with a variety of departments across campus looking to hire student workers. Student jobs allow you to have a flexible work schedule all while gaining valuable work experience and earning transferable skills! No registration is required. 


SoBear Lounge nights

Please Join the Nanook Diversity and Action Center on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6-8:30 p.m. for an exciting new program, the SoBear Lounge in the first floor of Wood Center. NDAC's goal is to establish a fun, lively, and supportive experience for students and staff to enjoy themselves in an alcohol-free setting with mocktails, an assortment of appetizers, and a selection of entertainment. UAF Emergency Scholarship

The UAF Emergency Scholarship is a one-time resource available through the Financial Aid Office that helps address the immediate and unexpected needs of students. After submitting an application and following review by a committee with more than 10 departments currently represented from across campus, students are able to seek assistance throughout the school year. Donate to the Wood Center Food Pantry

Do you have any spare shelf-stable food, paper products, or menstrual items? The Wood Center Food Pantry needs your donations! Over the summer, there was a 300% increase in usage, and from Aug. 21-30 the program received as many requests for assistance as it did in the first six weeks of fall 2022. College Savings Month sweepstakes

Alaska 529 is excited to offer Alaskans the "What Can a 529 Do For You?" national sweepstakes through the College Savings Plan Network! September is College Savings Month, and CSPN is giving away almost $5,000 in contributions to 529 accounts to celebrate. Learn more and enter the sweepstakes.

National Suicide Prevention Month ribbon

Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Suicide is a major public health concern and a leading cause of death in the U.S. Join NDAC on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. in Arctic Java for a memorial for loved ones lost and to learn more about what you can do to take a stand. Learn more about support resources available.


EHSRM virtual office hours available

If you have questions or need guidance about anything related to EHSRM procedures, you are invited to attend our virtual office hours. No appointment necessary. Office hours will be held most Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Read more and get the Zoom link.
