Join us in the Wood Center Thursday, Sept. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. to connect with a
variety of departments across campus looking to hire student workers. Student jobs
allow you to have a flexible work schedule all while gaining valuable work experience
and earning transferable skills! No registration is required.
Please Join the Nanook Diversity and Action Center on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6-8:30
p.m. for an exciting new program, the SoBear Lounge in the first floor of Wood Center.
NDAC's goal is to establish a fun, lively, and supportive experience for students
and staff to enjoy themselves in an alcohol-free setting with mocktails, an assortment
of appetizers, and a selection of entertainment. Read more about the SoBear Lounge.
The UAF Emergency Scholarship is a one-time resource available through the Financial
Aid Office that helps address the immediate and unexpected needs of students. After
submitting an application and following review by a committee with more than 10 departments
currently represented from across campus, students are able to seek assistance throughout
the school year. Read more about the scholarship.
Do you have any spare shelf-stable food, paper products, or menstrual items? The Wood
Center Food Pantry needs your donations! Over the summer, there was a 300% increase
in usage, and from Aug. 21-30 the program received as many requests for assistance
as it did in the first six weeks of fall 2022. Read more on donating to the Wood Center Food Pantry.
