plan to pursue creative projects or conduct research during the Spring 2024 term are
invited to apply for URSA Student Project funding. Applications will be accepted until Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m.
The NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System has announced that all
Radarsat-1 data archived at the Alaska Satellite Facility Distributed Active Archive

Please share with your students who may have not completed their FAFSA application
for the 2023-24 school year. They can meet with a financial aid advisor to receive
help with the application during workshops on Thursday, Oct. 5 or Friday, Oct. 6,
from 4-5 p.m. each day. Students will need to bring their own laptops in order to
work on their applications.
Individual undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines at the University
of Alaska are eligible and invited to apply for an award of $2,500 to support their
research using the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives at the Elmer
E. Rasmuson Library. One award is available annually. The deadline to apply is Nov. 5, 2023, by 11:59 p.m.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid opens on Oct. 1 of each year. However,
in 2020, Congress passed the 'FAFSA Simplification Act,' which represents a significant
overhaul of the FAFSA application process. As a result of these changes, the 2024-2025
FAFSA Application will be delayed until December 2023. Read more about the FAFSA change.
The UAF Department of Music presents a free weekly concert series featuring students
and faculty members every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Davis Concert Hall. Concerts are
also streamed on the UAF music department YouTube channel.
The University of Alaska will continue to host the Alaska Climate Adaptation Science
Center after renewing an agreement with the U.S. Geological Survey. Learn more about the $11.4 million the USGS will provide to fund the center during
