On-site forums with CITO finalists

The CITO search committee narrowed the field to four finalists, and on-site interviews and stakeholder meetings are being held in-person (Butrovich 109) and over zoom.

Annual Title IX training is required for UA staff

As designated "responsible employees", annual Title IX training is required for UA staff and faculty. Employees will be taking the same highly-successful training developed in-house through the University of Alaska Anchorage that students are required to complete.

Reminder to watch DEI training videos before Sept. 1

The University of Alaska has committed as an institution to transformative change. As a first step in this journey, we will be watching a series of videos with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The timeframe for fully completing the training has been extended to September 1.

Touchnet Marketplace - Simplifying Campuswide Commerce

On Wednesday, August 3, Financial Systems is hosting Touchnet Marketplace experts for a two part training. This training will cover the variety of ways Touchnet Marketplace can be used to facilitate collecting payments for a variety of activities including conference registrations, selling items, charging fees, etc.

Cassidy Hobbs named Assistant Director of Federal Relations for D.C. office

The former legislative aid for Sen. Murkowski will be maintaining communication and relationships with federal officials, sharing UA's priorities, and monitoring and sharing information with key stakeholders regarding relevant legislation or agency decisions that may affect the university system.
