Nominations Open for 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence

The annual Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence includes a $20,000 award. Any student, faculty, staff, alumni or volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the mission of the University of Alaska system, UAA, UAF, or UAS is eligible to be nominated.

On November 1 the two parties reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract that increases faculty pay and the pension wage base, expands the use of faculty development funds, and provides for changes to the dispute resolution process.

UA Board of Regents to review FY24 budget, union contracts at its November 10-11 Fairbanks meeting

The board will discuss the proposed FY24 operating and capital budgets, tuition rates for academic year 2024, and vote on the collective bargaining agreements between the University of Alaska and United Academics and the Fairbanks Firefighters Association.

Wellness Rebate

The wellness rebate will be paid out with the November 18th paycheck. Remember - to qualify for the rebate you must be a current employee, have completed all the required activities of the wellness program by June 30, 2022 and be on a UA Choice Plan when the rebate is paid out. See our website for more information on the wellness program, or to start your activities for next year's rebate.
