The Heart Walk is a community-building, heart-healthy event that raises awareness of heart risks and raises funds for research. Heart disease and stroke are the leading killers of both men and women in the U.S., and these conditions are largely preventable.

'Show your love' by joining UAF’s 2022 Heart Walk team

The 2022 Fairbanks Heart Walk sponsored by the American Heart Association is Saturday, Aug. 27. The walk begins at 10 a.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park in downtown Fairbanks.

I invite you to participate, whether you register a team as part of UAF or join friends and family, as we come together to raise vital funds for life-saving research, celebrate survivors and have a little fun outside.

Anyone who signs up as part of a UAF team will receive a UAF-branded T-shirt. Shirts will be delivered to team captains the week of the walk. I want to thank the UAF departments that have already signed up.
