There have been some very significant changes to grading and registration that all students should know about. If you are concerned about the switch to distance courses, please know that you are not alone. UAF is providing several options to ensure students do not suffer any academic penalties because of the COVID-19 situation. There will be an option for all students to switch their course grading scheme from letter grades to a credit / no credit option. This switch would not impact a student's GPA and a 'credit' grade for spring or summer 2020 would satisfy prerequisites, minor, major, and general education requirements. Students can also choose to withdraw from a course before April 10 to receive a 100% credit of tuition and fees which may be used toward future courses until spring 2021.
