Student of the Month: Daphne Mueller

Daphne is currently a junior working towards a degree in Biological Sciences. She lives in Utqiagvik, Alaska, and has spent her summer interning with the North Slope Borough's Community Health Aide Program.
Outside of work, she keeps herself busy with summer classes and a research project. You may remember this project from last month's newsletter from her research partner, and fellow Honors student, Garrett Taylor. Daphne and Garrett are working to establish a baseline for the population abundance of Arctic microbes in soil and permafrost.
Daphne has been working with this project since her senior year of high school and their goal this summer/fall is to write a paper on their study and get published. Congrats Daphne!
