Student of the Month: Kahryn Buchanan

Kahryn is a first year student triple majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics. She is heavily involved in the UAF Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Kahryn has dreams of working in the Aerospace industry and working with calculations that will further space exploration. Recently, Kahryn took one giant leap towards her goal and received an internship with NASA where she will have a hands on role validating and verifying measurement results of a prototype lunar relay communications satellite and establishing testing procedures for NASA's communication systems in Earth's orbit, at the Moon, and beyond. Congrats Kahryn!
