Volunteering is a great opportunity for you to get involved in your host community, build relationships with community members, and network.  Fairbanks has a number of volunteer organizations that would be happy to have your assistance on a short- or long-term basis.  Whether your interests are in home building, music, theater, recycling and sustainability, or other means of community service, Fairbanks has a wide range of opportunities.
