Resident Director

I am Koyukon Athabascan and my people are apart of the Caribou Clan from Hughes, Alaska. I feel very fortunate to be from Alaska because of its vast wilderness and wildlife diversity, which you don't have to go very far to find. I am a senior in the wildlife biology & conservation degree program. I plan on working and living in Alaska my entire life. It's been my mentors and instructors who have helped me align who I am, where I come from, and where I want to go. Therefore, I wish to inspire and mentor other Alaska Native students to follow their dreams and bring more Alaska Native representation to the STEM community and wildlife field.
Outside of my position as resident director here at Eileen's House, I also work in the Marine Ecotoxicology and Trophic Assessment Laboratory, I'm a BLaST Scholar, and I'm currently researching the bioaccumulation of mercury in northern fur seals from St. Paul Island, Alaska.

My name is Nathaniel Roxy Olemaun, but everyone calls me Uli, which is part of my Iñupiaq name Ulimaun. I was born and raised in Barrow, Alaska. I grew up going out camping and whaling with my family. Also, I really enjoy drinking some good ol’ black coffee.

I’m currently studying elementary education here at UAF.

As a R.A., I do my best to know a little about the students staying at the dorm. Another opportunity of being a R.A. is doing monthly activities to get the dorm together to have fun, relax for a bit, and make it like home away from home for them.

Do your absolute best achieving your goal no matter what it takes. Never give up on those goals. Enjoy life, make new friendships, and have fun in life.

Hello! My name is Kimberly Pikok and I am from Barrow, Alaska. It is my fourth year at UAF and I study Wildlife Biology and Conservation. I am one of the resident assistants at the MacLean House. My favorite part of working at the dorm is having office hours because I love talking to the residents and hearing all about what they learned in their classes!
