Since Mar. 20, 2024, University of Alaska Fairbanks students and employees along with System Office employees must use Duo Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to access any UA SSO services. These include UAOnline, Blackboard/Canvas, & Google Workspace. Enroll today to secure access to your university accounts!

Roweena Carlos has been selected to serve as UAF's new Nanook Technology Services chief information officer. This position, reporting to the vice chancellor for administrative services, is part of the updated IT structure, enabling UAF to address university needs and provide innovative campus-centered solutions.

Nanook Technology Services is the new name for UAF IT and the user services team formerly embedded in OIT. Under the direction of Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services Julie Queen and Chief Information Technology Officer Ben Shier, Nanook Technology Services has been created as UAF’s IT unit.
