If the email FAILS, look at the 'sent from' location of the email. Is alaska.edu included anywhere in that field?
YES, the ‘sent from’ section of the emails include @[domain].alaska.edu, for example @avo.alaska.edu. FOLLOW THESE STEPS to complete DKIM and SPF registration.
YES, the ‘sent from’ field of the emails include @alaska.edu. FOLLOW THESE STEPS to complete DKIM registration.
NO, the ‘sent from’ of the emails include a third-party vendor address, such as salesforce.com or teamdynamixapp.com. No further action is required, but it is recommended that you contact your third-party vendor to confirm they are DMARC compliant or test one of their emails by following these steps. If the initial DMARC compliance test FAILS, in order to have your third-party bulk mail vendor authorized within the UA email domain, reach out directly to your vendor and gather information for DMARC compliance, based on the following parameters:
- If sending from @alaska.edu, DKIM will be the necessary authentication method. Ask the vendor for the DKIM Selector and DKIM Key.
- After gathering the above information, include the information in a HELP TICKET TO NTS requesting DMARC Authorization.
