About the Artist

Karen Holman (she/her/hers) is a peer support specialist, collagist, longtime community worker and activist/advocate living near Detroit. Her chapbook appears in New Poets, Short Books, IV. Her poetry has aired on NPR and received several Pushcart nominations. She serves december magazine. Her work features in Pencilpoint Theatreworks’ Fight Like a Girl. She performed her work in Outrage: The Art of Protest Spoken Word, in MI.
