Peter Friis Johansson
Peter Friis Johansson is one of Scandinavia’s most interesting pianists.
He has toured extensively, achieved top results in competitions and is a highly sought chamber musician. In 2009, he became the artist-in-residence at Swedish Radio P2 and a recurring soloist with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.»He was a driving force in the former contemporary music ensemble NordicFusion6.
MusicWeb International named his collaboration with cellist Jakob Koranyi “recording of the year” in 2007. Friis Johansson will release his first solo CD this year.»
Friis Johansson began studying the piano at the age of 9 under the guidance of Inger Flyckt. Between 2002 and 2010, he was a student of professors Anders Kilstr»m and Mats Widlund at the Royal Academy of Music and Edsberg Manor in Stockholm, where he completed the bachelor’s, master’s and concert diploma degrees. Since 2008, he has worked with maestro Konstantin Bogino as his mentor.»
