Soo-Yeon Ham
Soo-Yeon Ham was born in 1985 in Seoul, Korea, began her piano studies when she was 6 and later continued her study with Minja Shin at Sunwha Arts School and Sunwha Arts High School from 1998 to 2004. She was admitted to Seoul National University at age 18, where she studied with Professor Hyoung-Joon Chang from 2004 to 2008.
She has made her career by winning prizes at numerous international competitions. She has performed with multiple orchestras and has given many recitals around the world.
She graduated from Seoul National University in 2008. Two years later, she graduated a master’s degree at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, working with John O’Conor and Therese Fahy. She then moved to Virginia in the United States to continue to study with O'Conor at the Shenandoah University for two years. Now she has returned to Seoul National University to finish her doctorate with Professor Chang.»
