Oxana Shevchenko

Oxana Shevchenko was born in Kazakhstan and graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied piano with Elena Kuznetsova and Sergey Kuznetsov and chamber music with Tigran Alikhanov. She completed her master’s degree at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Dmitry Alexeev. In May 2012, Shevchenko continued her master’s studies at Haute Ecole de Musique, Lausanne under the guidance of Jean-Francois Antonioli.

She gave her first performance as a soloist with orchestra at age of 9. She has since performed with symphony orchestras across the globe. A keen chamber musician, Shevchenko also has collaborated with many others. She has won several major international competitions.

Shevchenko released her debut recording in 2011, with works by Shostakovich, Mozart and Ravel, on Delphian Records. Gramophone awarded it an editor’s choice award, saying "This is the most exciting debut disc to come my way for some time.”
