On campus housing is available for current undergraduate students, incoming first year students, transfer students, graduate students, faculty and staff. Housing assignments are based on availability and eligibility.

Meal plan waiver
Worried about the required meal plan for the residence halls? Great news! As a graduate student, you can seek a waiver from UAF Dining Services. This allows you to live in any of our housing without a required dining plan. This gives you the flexibility to purchase whatever dining options work for you. Create your own environment
Living on campus allows you to create your own environment while being a part of a close-knit community. Whether you are a student who wants to live on your own, live with another UAF student, or raise your family in a community with other students, you can make your home at UAF.
Stuart apartments offer twelve one-bedroom furnished apartments. For employees, married or financially inter-dependent student couples without children. Stuart is located on Yukon Drive, across from the Wood Center, beside the campus fire department and campus police station. Laundry facilities are available for residents of this apartment and free of charge. Explore Stuart Apartments.
Garden Apartments are shared two bedroom apartments with one roommate. They are designed for graduate students only. Located on Columbia Circle next to MacLean House, Garden Apartments are a quite place with access to wireless internet, local telephones in each bedroom, and laundry facilities on site. Chandalar Homes has one, two, and three bedroom units.These homes are made for families and employees. Chandalar Homes are located all along North Chandalar Drive, North Chandalar is located off Yukon drive and only a 5 minute walk from the heart of campus. The homes include all utilities except for phone, and have a washer and dryer in the home. Explore Chandalar Homes.
Harwood Hall is a three story complex which consists of eighteen one-bedroom furnished apartments(470 ft) and eighteen efficiency furnished apartments(380). These apartments are made for graduate students, non-traditional students or employees or families. Efficiency units are made for a single occupant only. Located on the corner of Tanana Loop and Kuskokwim Way, near the Rasmuson Library. Each apartment has cable access, ethernet connection, and a local phone connection. Tanana Loop Homes
Tanana Loop has several duplexes available, most 2-bedroom units, with one 1-bedroom unit. The apartments are available to employees or families. Units include all utilities except for phone, and have a washer and dryer in the unit. Tanana units each have a 1-car garage, and a great view of the Tanana Valley. Explore Tanana Loop Homes.
Walsh Hall contains 12 furnished 1-bedroom apartments. The building was fully renovated in 2017 and provides dedicated parking spaces for residents. Washer and dryers available in the basement. Explore Walsh Hall.
Certain types of pets are permitted including fish, small caged animals, dogs, and cats. Residents are limited to types and numbers of pets depending on the unit. All pets must be registered with the Department of Residence Life.
