Life can be complicated, and we want to make signing up for housing as simple as possible! This is why the UAF Department of Residence Life Central Office is now offering concierge service by phone, by appointment or drop-in.

College is such an exciting experience and transformational time for students and their families, but it can also be stressful at times. We can provide one-on-one assistance with all required applications/forms for first-year students to seniors that are graduating and need to cancel their housing before leaving UAF. Additionally, we can explain the differences between the residence halls, the different room types and the options for our new Living Learning Communities.

Yes! We will walk you through the application process one-on-one. The Central Office is here to help you throughout the entire application and decision making process. If you have any questions or concerns about our university or application, we encourage you to reach out to us.

Although we have tried to simplify the application process, we understand that it can still be stressful and confusing. By sitting down with one of the Assignment Coordinators we can walk you through the entire process, help you one on one with all the required paperwork and get it turned in to the different departments. One of the most common forms that is forgotten is FERPA. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is valid until canceled by the student and allows UAF offices to discuss important information with the designated recipient.

Simply call, stop by our office or use our online request form to schedule an appointment or inquire if an Assignments Coordinator is available to meet with you right then and there. Sit down and let us walk you through the entire application process.

If you are applying for housing for the first time, please be prepared to make the deposit and application fee at your appointment. The fee for Single Students living in Residence Halls is $355 ($40 application fee and $315 deposit). No fees are due at the time of application for Employee, Family or Graduate housing.

If you need more information about our different communities/halls, would like a tour or need to better understand what it is like to live in Alaska, we can sit down with you in person or via phone and discuss your options.
