SSS Tutors

Our tutors are available Monday-Friday in the Tutoring Center and Sunday in 303 Gruening.

Peer Coaching is an opportunity for students to brush up on their academic skills. Students can make individual appointments with peer coaches to discuss individual classes or college life in general. Typically, peer coaching helps students with issues like organization, test anxiety, time management, and note-taking. Coaches can tailor the sessions to fit the student’s needs.

Travis OenHello, my name is Travis I'm an electrical engineering student and I tutor math, physics, and engineering courses. My interests include running, video game development, and downhill skiing. My favorite thing about being an engineering student is applying what I'm learning in school to solve trivial problems I encounter day to day.

Emily KirkpatrickHi, my name is Emily. I tutor chemistry, mathematics, engineering, and general education courses. I was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Spokane, WA. Other hobbies of mine include skiing, traveling as much as possible, and playing the piano. I have only been in Fairbanks for about a year and a half.
