The UAF Faculty Senate passed the following at its meeting on 
February 6, 1995.


MOTION PASSED (unanimous approval)

The UAF Faculty Senate moves to change the approval process for 
credit overload applications by deleting the section requiring the 
Dean's approval.  Final approval will be granted by the department 
head.

	EFFECTIVE:  	Immediately

	RATIONALE:  	The rationale for this policy change is that 
		such a decision should be that of the student, their 
		advisor, and the department head; where the best 
		information is available.
