It's Official! Patient Care is now DirectPath!
- Only the name has changed. DirectPath offers the same advocacy services as Patient Care to help you navigate your health plan benefits. You can get price quotes and comparisons for medical care before you schedule procedures to help you shop for the best value in health care.

Checking Your UAF Employee Benefits
Not sure which benefits plan it was that you elected? Log in to UAOnline to find your current benefits elections. This is also a great way to manage your dependents.
To find your benefit enrollment information, login and select the "Employee Services" menu and choose "Benefits and Deductions". For Health Savings Accounts, select "Flexible Spending Accounts". If the HSA is active, it will be listed at the top of the list. If it is not active, it will be lower on the list of deductions you have or have had in the past.
Looking for Open Enrollment updates? These updates are currently being keyed and should be visible in the system starting the week of June 12th.
Premera BCBS Insurance/ID Cards
After your enrollment waiting period (outlined in the Employee Benefits Handbook), Premera will issue a proof of insurance card to you and your dependents.
If you need to make an appointment before you receive your card(s), simply login to Premera's website and print a temporary card. If you lose your insurance card, you can also login and request to have a new card sent to you at any time. For help on both of these processes, please see our Temporary and Replacement Premera Insurance Cards guide.
If you elect to change your plan at Open Enrollment or at a life event, Premera will automatically issue you a new card; you will not need to request one.
If you have not received your card within 45 days of your enrollment waiting period, or 45 days past the effective date of any benefit plan changes, please contact Premera immediately to insure that they have the correct benefits information for you. You may also check UAOnline to make sure your current benefits are listed correctly. Please notify us right away if this information is outdated or otherwise incorrect after the 45 days.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides 24/7, 100% confidential assistance for benefit eligible employees, their dependents and COBRA participants, at 1-888-993-7650. Assistance is also available online; download the iConnectYou app from the App Store or Google Play, and use passcode 124773 to register. You can also log on to their website at www.deeroakseap.com using username "UofA", and password "UofA". The program covers a wide range of topics from financial assistance and connections to local housing programs to job stress and counseling. The program is available to employees, spouses/FIPs, dependents and anyone living in the employee's home.

Summer@UAF - Healthy Living Lectures
The Summer@UAF Healthy Living Lectures series covers a wide range of health related topics from UA insurance and ACA compliance, to retirement questions, to tackling issues such as diabetes and medication dependency.
