The Graduate School is the point of contact for questions regarding the status of a graduate student application, graduate admissions recommendation forms (GARFS), and postponing an application. We also process admissions decisions and track the receipt of student materials. Please contact the graduate school for all admissions inquiries at uaf-grad-admsisions@alaska.edu.

If an applicant would like to change/add their application major, please direct them to: https://www.uaf.edu/admissions/add-change-degree.php

Graduate School Admissions Policy:

If the department would like to waive an admissions requirement, please email uaf-grad-admissions@alaska.edu. Please keep in mind that an applicant's file typically will not be sent to the department to review with missing application materials unless otherwise instructed by the department. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for the university, the Office of Graduate Admissions sends the complete application to the academic department. Program heads and/or committees in fields of interest will determine the adequacy of the student’s preparation and whether or not departmental facilities are sufficient for their aims. While the Graduate School oversees graduate admissions, official transcripts need to be sent to uaf-admissions@alaska.edu. If you require application updates, a graduate admissions recommendation form, or have any graduate admisisons questions, please let us know at uaf-grad-admissions@alaska.edu.
