Interdisciplinary Studies
Bachelor's Degree Program
Enjoy the flexibility to customize your education in our interdisciplinary studies program. Our interdisciplinary studies degree allows you to design a unique major that aligns with your interests or choose classes related to your career goals to create a pathway to graduation. The interdisciplinary studies program offers three degree options: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (B.A.A.S.).
Interdisciplinary studies involves combining two or more academic disciplines into one activity, allowing you to select the courses you want to study to create a custom degree.
If you have multiple interests and goals that don't fit into one of the established majors offered by the university, a degree in interdisciplinary studies might be the right path for you.
Who Is the Interdisciplinary Studies Degree Designed For?
The interdisciplinary general studies program is a pathway to graduation for students who have earned 100 college credits or more, but are not close to completing, or are unable to complete, a particular major. This program is a great fit for students who have transferred several times, have changed majors, are returning to school after a break or who are just looking to finish their bachelor’s degree as efficiently as possible. The B.A.A.S. degree is specifically designed to build upon the technical experience of students who have earned Associate of Applied Science degrees.
The control over what you'll study is in your hands, and many students choose to complete their interdisciplinary degrees completely online — taking advantage of the flexibility that online courses offer.
