What Is Sport Management?
Sport management is one of the two concentrations within the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Business degree. Sport management involves working on the business side of sports. The business side of sports includes everything from accounting, to fundraising, to marketing and event management. Sport management professionals work for professional teams, stadiums, colleges and universities, sports marketing firms and many other organizations! Similar to sport management, recreation managers work on the business side of recreation. Managing a recreation facility, managing a hunting/fishing outfitter, being an entrepreneur or working for a major recreation retailer are all examples of careers in recreation management!
