Student positions
ASUAF has three student positions that remain open until filled. Generally, one student is hired for each position at the beginning of the school year and the position lasts until the end of the school year. Students who held a position have the potential to return to it after summer break for another term.
Office Assistant & Senate Clerk
The Office Assistant & Senate Clerk works in the ASUAF office assisting students that come in and making sure everything runs smoothly. Core responsibilities include recording and taking minutes of senate meetings, creating agendas for senate meetings, scheduling meetings with Senators, and working the front desk of the ASUAF office.
Director of Student Advocacy
The Director of Student Advocacy acts as an advocate between students and professors or the University. Core responsibilities include being the ASUAF student representative on a variety of committees including the Faculty Senate Student Academic Development and Achievement Committee, the Center for Student Engagement, the ASUAF Senate Student and Academic Affairs Committee, and all Academic and Grade Appeals Committees. The Director of Student Advocacy is hired by and works under the ASUAF President and Vice President and holds a position on the ASUAF Executive Council.
Director of Public Relations
The Director of Public Relations creates and maintains the public face of ASUAF through social media, the ASUAF website, and acts as a public liaison. Main duties include publicizing ASUAF events and building awareness of ASUAF. The Director of Public Relations is hired by and works under the ASUAF President and Vice President and holds a position on the ASUAF Executive Council.
