Peer Advisor Training
Emphasis on developing skills needed to assist
exploratory/undecided students with their academic planning and decision
making. Topics include resource referral, communication/active listening,
academic and career planning, time and stress management, group dynamics, and
values clarification. (Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and application.)

Peer Advising Practicum
Supervised peer advising experience (both individually and
paired with faculty member) in the Academic Advising Center or appropriate
department, allowing for application of theory and skills gained in HMSV 340.
Course may be repeated once for credit. (Prerequisite: HMSV 340.)
