The College of Liberal Arts provides graduate and undergraduate degree programs in the arts, humanities and social sciences. It offers an excellent liberal arts education with strengths in circumpolar teaching, research and service and a particular focus on Alaska Native peoples and languages. Much of the UAF baccalaureate core curriculum and a variety of outreach programs are delivered through the college. Its faculty and staff recognize the importance of new teaching technologies and of student access to senior professors in small class environments.
