Academic Computing

The Office of Information Technology provides technology, expertise and resources to support the university's academic mission for students, faculty and staff. There are several student computing labs located across the Fairbanks campus, including 319 Bunnell, 404 Rasmuson and 110 Moore-Bartlett-Skarland. In addition, instructional tools such as lecture capture services and smart classroom solutions are available through OIT's Campus Technology Services. Residence halls have wired as well as wireless Internet access in dorm rooms and wireless is available in most public areas in all buildings on the Fairbanks campus.

Staff in the Student Computer Support Center, located in the OIT Desktop Support Office in 230 Bunnell, provide free help for student's personal computers. Students are invited to drop by with your computer for help or call the OIT Support Center. Residence halls have wired Internet access in dorm rooms and wireless Internet is available in most public areas in all buildings on the UAF campus.

Video Conferencing Services provides consultation, planning, installation, training and scheduling services for video conference classrooms and other video-enabled rooms on campus and across the University of Alaska system.
