UArctic
UAF is a founding member of UArctic (originally the University of the Arctic), a cooperative network of universities, colleges and other organizations committed to higher education and research in the North. The consortium’s goal is to create a strong, sustainable circumpolar region by empowering northerners and northern communities through education and shared knowledge. As part of this network, UAF participates in research and teaching partnerships and is a member of the student exchange program north2north, which provides opportunities for students from UArctic member institutions to experience different northern regions firsthand, and to share experiences face-to-face by allowing students to study at other UArctic institutions.
