Performing Arts Project
The Performing Arts section of "Communication and Expressive Arts" 4-H Projects includes many different ways to experience art. The projects allow youth to learn life skills and grow in project knowledge while expressing creativity in a variety of mediums. Youth may choose to develop and present stories through acting, mime, movement, puppetry, and technical theater. Cultural dance and movement is a popular project for youth to both learn, teach, and express proudly their cultural heritage and traditions. Learn acting techniques and improvisation, costume and set design, makeup techniques, and technical stage lighting and sound. And if you're musically inclined, explore various types of music, compose or arrange music, and/or make your own musical instruments.
