Low branched small tree with horizontal branching; dark green leaves turn reddish purple in autumn; large 3”-4” white flowers in May; red fruit in autumn; needs moist acidic well-drained soils and partial shade.

Limitations

Susceptible to insect and disease if grown in inappropriate locations; only successful in warmest portion of SE.
