Distinctions

Small pine with a formal, pyramidal habit; an elegant ornamental; very hardy; needles in clusters of 5, 2.5"-3.25" long, green on one side and bluish on the other, held in a bottle-brush arrangement. The form sibirica is more compact than the species.

Limitations

Slow growth; needs full sun and well-drained soil. Young plants are susceptible to needle burn in the interior.
