Join Chancellor White and the university community for the annual holiday gathering today from 4-6 p.m. in the Wood Center multilevel lounge and mall area. Refreshments will be served and the UAF Jazz Combo will perform. Staff and faculty are encouraged to donate non-perishable items to the Wood Center Food Pantry. LEAP seeking faculty, student applicants

The UAF Faculty Accelerator and eCampus are seeking faculty and student applicants to participate in the Learner Experience Advocacy Program for the 2023 spring semester. LEAP is a semester-long faculty development program where trained undergraduate students partner with participating instructors to share feedback on their online courses. If you know of a current UAF student who would be a good fit for LEAP, please recommend the program to them! Follow this link to learn more about the program and submit an application. Applications are due by Dec. 9, 2022.


Compliance Alliance Tips and Facts

The Compliance Alliance committee would like to share the following compliance tip or fact with you this week. The NCAA prohibits Nanook student-athletes from receiving “extra benefits” outside the established rules of the NCAA. To find out more about what is and is not permissible, review the information found in the Boosters Dos and Don’ts document on the athletics website.

End of semester event at UAF Esports Center

On Friday, Dec. 9 from 2-6 p.m. the UAF Esports Center will be running an end of semester holiday event! Come enjoy some casual holiday games to kick things off. There will be free beanies and food for all attendees and GCI will give a special announcement at 3 p.m. An ugly sweater competition will also be held, where students can compete to win great prizes!

December museum programs focus on snow

The University of Alaska Museum of the North's December hands-on programs will focus on snow. Programs are are free for members and included with admission. For more info, visit the museum website.
