Compliance Alliance Tips and Facts: Minors

The Compliance Alliance would like to share the following compliance tip or fact with you this week. Planning a summer camp involving minors and want to use campus housing? You will need to provide on-site adults that will be in charge of the minors staying in the halls. Learn more about the requirements for authorized adults and hosting a camp or conference with minors. The Compliance Alliance meets monthly to evaluate risks associated with compliance issues, identify university policies that need to be enhanced and analyze the effectiveness of compliance processes across campus.

Alumni Association donates to student groups, campus projects

The UAF Alumni Association has awarded $20,000 to support student organizations and campus projects. A $10,000 gift went to the Georgeson Botanical Garden, and a variety of student groups received another $10,000.

Troth Yeddha' Campus winter sunrise12th Annual Fairbanks Gazhee Celebration

Pavva Iñupiaq Dancers will host the 12th Annual Fairbanks Gazhee Celebration and sing to the rising sun during Winter Solstice. All dance groups are invited to celebrate. Pavva Iñupiaq Dancers plan to drum and sing a song at 11 a.m. It is a song that William Tyson taught dance group leader Asikłuk Topkok, "I Saw the Light." Dancers will be celebrating on Troth Yeddha' at the UAF Troth Yeddha' park next to the Museum of the North.
