Get a move on to Canvas!

UAF continues the move to Canvas  as its Learning Management System. If you are still teaching courses in Blackboard, now is the time to plan your path to migrate course content to Canvas before the end of Spring 2024. eCampus is here to assist with the move and is able to provide support at varying levels to best fit your style. You can direct questions through the UAF Faculty Hub Slack or schedule a consultation with an instructional designer.

The Rural Alaska Honors Institute is accepting applications for its summer 2023 session. The session will run from May 30-July 14, 2023.  Applications are due by Wednesday, March 1. Find more information and the application form online.

Family Day: DNA

Create and explore together on Saturday, Feb. 25 from noon to 4 p.m. at the UA Museum of the North. Discover the building blocks of life! Meet museum researchers, explore how scientists use DNA, build a DNA model, try a scavenger hunt, and more. For all ages. Adult supervision required. Kids 14 and under are free on Family Days. Faculty survey on Open Education Resources

The Faculty Senate Open Education Resources Ad Hoc Committee invites UAF faculty to take a brief survey to assess OER use, creation, and interest across UAF, and to collect information about specific courses that are using no or low-cost (NoLo) course materials.

The 51st annual Delta Farm Forum will take place Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Delta Junction. The forum is a community event combined with an update on local agricultural info.
