UAF Summer Sessions ballroom dance class

Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning presents First Dance, a ballroom dance class taught by Daniel Ponickly. Make the first dance at your wedding unforgettable with this dance class for couples. Register now for classes March 21 through April 27, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. in the SRC Group Fitness Studio.


Volunteers needed for May 6 commencement ceremony

Volunteers are needed to assist with UAF's 101st commencement ceremony starting at 11 a.m. on
May 6
. Parking attendants, greeters and information table support are all needed. If you’re interested in helping at this special event, email Carla Browning. It will be a busy day but a rewarding one as we celebrate the accomplishments of our students.

UAF, NASA create snow science outreach program

More than 50 U.S. and international scientists are testing new ways of measuring snow from above in Alaska through March, part of NASA's SnowEx program. During and after the science campaign, a partner NASA-funded program, SnowEd, will engage students and the public in exploring snow.


Molly CainCFOS Seminar: Linking dynamic connectivity and hydrologic response

The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will host a seminar on Friday, March 24 from 3-4 p.m. at O’Neill 201 in Fairbanks and via Zoom, including a showing in Juneau at Lena 101. featuring Molly Cain, associate director for research at Alaska Sea Grant. Cain will present “Linking dynamic connectivity and hydrological response.” Please register in advance.
